The Santa Barbara Region of Zone 8, Porsche Club of America covers Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. We are a region of more than 700 members plus over 500 affiliate members. We were chartered in June, 1964 and celebrated with a great party on our 45th anniversary.
This region exemplifies as much as any in the nation the national motto:
"It's not just the cars, it's the people." Lasting friendships are the rule, not the exception in this group.
We meet for breakfast on the first Saturday of every month at the The Waypoint Cafe, located at the Camarillo Airport at 9 a.m., and on the second Saturday each month at The Moby Dick Restaurant on Strearns Wharf in Santa Barbara, also at 9 a.m.
The region offers competitive driving events such as four autocrosses per year, driver education for you would be racers, a competitive rally for precision driving, a gimmick rally just for fun, several day tours ranging from garden trips to a tour of the Reagan Ranch, a concours on beautiful grounds and several overnight trips to places of interest such as Zion and Bryce National Parks and even to the James Dean Memorial. Most of all we offer friendly people driving great cars. These vehicles may be expensive, but, to most of us, the investment has more than paid off in the people we now call "friend."
