Event Description
Welcome to the annual FAST Novice Autocrosser's school on the driver training pad at the St Petersburg College Allstate Campus! The entry fee includes the World-Famous FAST Lunch and more than twice the seat time of a regular autocross!
If you've competed in 6 or fewer autocross events, and want to improve your skills, this is the school for you! (If you've been autocrossing longer, or you've particpated in one of our schools before, we ask that you consider volunteering to help us run a quality event.) To provide quality instruction, the class size will be small with a maximum of 32. Plan on the whole day -- the event will run from approximately 7:30am - 5pm. The school will consist of three different driving stations, plus a "classroom" session. The student:instructor ratio will be 4:1, or better.
What's required?
A safe car -- clean out the interior, nothing loose, no leaks. Please, don't plan on sharing a car with another student...you'll be spending most of your day in the driver's seat.
A valid driver's license. Sorry, our insurance doesn't allow learner's permits.
A DOT-approved helmet that covers your ears, if you have one. If not, we have some loaners available.
Everything else, including lunch, instructors and course workers is provided!
Online regsitration and pre-payment is mandatory for this event. Registration will close at 10 pm 4 March. Entries cancelled prior to the registration deadline will receive credit for future events -- no-shows or entries cancelled after registration closes are not guaranteed event credit.
Please note that drivers under age 18 will require a parent or guardian to sign the insurance waiver on-site allowing them to participate. For insurance purposes, everyone on site must sign the waiver.
As an added bonus, students may enter the FAST March autocross the following day for half-price!
