With a fresh crop of hot-shoes from the previous day's annual FAST Novice School, we'll be back on the St Petersburg College Allstate Campus training pad. As always, the $30 entry fee includes the World-Famous FAST Lunch!
Online regsitration and pre-payment is mandatory for this event. Registration will close at 10 pm 14 March. Entries cancelled prior to the registration deadline will receive credit for future events -- no-shows or entries cancelled after registration closes are not guaranteed event credit. Keep in mind that students, instructors, and workers from the previous day's school will get to register early, so remaining space will be limited.
The site will open up about 7 AM for site setup and car preparation, tech inspection starts around 8, drivers' meeting at 10, first car off ASAP afterwards. Tech will take place in the paddock area. All drivers will work. To volunteer for specific work assignments, there are fields for first and second choice of assignments added to the entry form. Work assignments are described at http://www.kickflop.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=619 -- default assignment is to courseworker. The number of runs will be determined by the event chair the day of the event; typically, we get 4-6 runs each at this site.
In keeping with the low-key character of our events, FAST uses a very basic car classification system -- please see http://drivefast.org/event-info/rules-classing/ to determine the correct class for your car when filling out your entry, or send a note to [email protected] for assistance.
There is also no restriction on guests at this site. If you wish to bring more than one guest, simply note the extras in the "message to registrar" block on the entry form so we can plan for lunch -- and we still ask that you chip in $5 for each guest eating lunch. For insurance purposes, everyone must sign the waiver, and anyone not actively preparing or driving a car must remain behind the guardrails -- please cooperate with us.
Please note that drivers under age 18 will require a parent or guardian to sign the insurance waiver allowing them to compete.
