Event Description
SCCA is proud to present the Chasing the Dragon II Hillclimb on June 23-24 in Robbinsville, NC!
Registration is now open
Hillclimbing is a great Southern tradition and we'd love to have you join us for this event! Spectators are welcome at no charge. We'll have BBQ being prepared on site and the folks from Robbinsville have a downtown party BOTH NIGHTS! More info available at http://www.dragonhillclimb.com
DRIVERS - We look forward to a great weekend in Robbinsville, NC and a lot of fun at the DRAGON! We are allowing drivers to run on a novice license and attend a school at this hillclimb site. (You will attend a classroom session Friday night and Saturday morning, work with a mentor but your runs will be solo and you will competing in the event.) We are also allowing drivers to split an entry (see supps... we will let one driver run a car on Saturday and another driver run the same car on Sunday. This reduces entry fees and gives more people the chance to run). We do have 11 nomex suits available on a first come first served basis through the Second Gear program. You can borrow all gear except helmet at no charge.
All drivers will be entered in a drawing for a set of HOOSIERS and a set of TOYOS from one of our sponsors, APPALACHIAN TIRE to be awarded at the awards presentation Sunday at 4:30... MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN! Please let our sponsors know we appreciate their support of hillclimbing in the Southeast! http://www.racetire.com
WORKERS : THANK YOU FOR VOLUNTEERING!
Please email Name, email address, phone, and specialty to [email protected] This will save you having to fill out all unnecessary entry questions. Also please add if you need lodging for the weekend and the name of the person you would like to room with. (Breakfast and lunch is provided Saturday and Sunday and your dinner at our Saturday party downtown is covered by Graham County!) We appreciate you and you will be well taken care of... some surprises are in store for you! We will recognize two more workers with the coveted ORDER of the Maroon Dragon in appreciation for their service this weekend.
